Welcome to the first post of the Accurate Exhaust Products blog! This is going to be a very valuable resource and companion to our regular website.

Our vision for this blog is that it will be a place to get Accurate Ltd product information, tech support, tips and installation guides, and lots of Mopar eye candy! We also welcome you to post your Mopar exhaust questions or concerns and you can be sure you'll receive expert advice from us. You'll get to hear from us about what we're doing and you'll be first to hear of promotions and new products. We also look forward to hearing your comments and questions, or even just showing off your Mopar. We've got some great things lined up for this blog and we know you won't want to miss any of it! Our authors will be Tom (owner/operator/lead tech of Accurate Ltd) and Jamie (the Internet sales manager.)

Our established customers already know our reputation: we aren't just interested in selling our products, but we go the extra mile in customer service and support, to make your new exhaust fit like a glove and run like it was meant to!

So, to get things off to a fun start, we are running a "Show Us Your Accurate Ltd System" contest! We want to see and hear your Mopar. Simply take a video clip of your car running with our exhaust system on it, post it on YouTube, and then email us the link. We'll announce the winner on June 2nd. We can't wait to see them!

I Can't Hear My Tunes!

We get many many calls regarding loud exhaust that is causing headaches and the inability to hear the stereo. Each of our cars are built different regarding engines, cam profile, induction and other factors that affect decibels and exhaust note. If the car is built for the street then you , your passengers and neighbors should not have to put up with an obnoxiously loud car. Number one culprit is installing the wrong sized exhaust tubing ( bigger is not always better ) including the tubing wall thickness. Wrong style mufflers put in the improper proper places is the second reason that an exhaust system is too noisey. Don't forget that the engineers that first designed your car knew all of this so why reinvent the wheel ? Wrong and improper muffler/tailpipe hangers will also cause severe interior resonation vibrations that will keep you buzzing long after the engine is shut off. These are the basics for tracking down an overly noisey car. Follow the basics and if this doesn't work then start looking elsewhere such as motor mounts and other places. Try and remember when the noise problem first started. What parts were recently added or changed incuding alternators and other accessories ? Or you could simply spend tons of money and time with adding floor insulation and other products to cover over the real problem of an improperly designed exhaust system.

Exhaust and Our Mopars

There has been much controversy over the years on what exhaust combination is best for our rides. What pipe size to use , mandrel or compression bent, which muffler flows best without causing us a headache and are headers worth the cost and agrevation over cast iron manifolds. Magazine articles are not the best source for getting the best answers as advertisers expect their product to be featured in a positive light . Experience has shown that money spent elsewhere will get you the extra power you are after such as cam selection and induction improvements for most street machines. A factory configured exhaust system with improved free flowing reverse flowing mufflers is more than adaquate for most of our Mopars used mostly on the road. We are not talking cars mostly used on the race track here so if you want low and midrange performance and good overall street manners bypass the hype on subjects such as x-pipe technology verses h-pipe controversies. Stick with what is easy to install and to maintain .

Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals, July 11-13, 2008

It's show season!!! We are now taking phone orders for complete exhaust systems to pick up at the Carlisle All-Chrysler Show in July. When you pre-order by June 23, 2008, you will receive 50% off shipping! If you are going to the show, it just makes sense to pick up your system direct and save some bucks.


We do have some bad news, however, that we just received from our steel company. Unfortunately there is going to be a substantial price increase in the near future due to an increase in steel prices. All orders placed before June 23 will not be affected.
